Terms & Conditions
This site is owned and operated by Somerzby Pty Ltd ABN 67 091 532 928 (trading as ‘Coops and Cages’). By using this website, you irrevocably agree to be bound by these terms and conditions under the laws of the state of New South Wales and the Commonwealth of Australia.

Consumer guarantees apply under Australian Consumer Law.
Unfortunately sometimes things get damaged in transit. We will replace any parts damaged in transit free of charge.
Please advise your order details and either call (02 4340 4200) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) within 14 days of receiving your order. We will ask for a photo clearly showing the damaged part(s) so we can identify them, this must be done before using the product or modifying it.
If the customer refuses replacement parts then it is at their cost to return the goods for a refund less freight charges. In the rare instance a part is missing let us know exactly what part it is and we will send it to you ASAP.
Sometimes a partial refund may be offered, at our option, if the product can be repaired easily by the customer, prior approval required. Any problems must be advised within 14 days of receipt of the goods.
We do not offer an extended warranty except those implied by Australian Consumer Law.
Jurisdiction: With your purchase you agree these terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts operating in New South Wales and its appellate courts. All disputes will be heard in Gosford. NSW.
Ownership of Rights
All rights, including copyright, in this website are owned by or licensed to Coops and Cages.
Any use of this website or its contents, including copying or storing it or them in whole or part, other than for your own personal, non-commercial use is prohibited without the permission of Coops and Cages.
You may not modify, distribute or re-post anything on this website for any purpose.
Accuracy of Content
Coops and Cages has taken every care in the preparation of the content of this website, in particular to ensure that prices quoted are correct at time of publishing and all products have been fairly described.
However, orders will only be accepted if there are no material errors in the description of the goods or their prices as advertised on this website. Packaging may vary from that shown.
The weights, dimensions and capacities given are approximate only. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on the website.
However, as the actual colours you see will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour will accurately reflect the colour of the product on delivery.
To the extent permitted by law, you release us from any and all liability in relation to any inaccurate content or information of the kind described above.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account and any activities that occur under your account.
Coops and Cages shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise as a result of any failure by you to protect your password or account.
Full payment for any goods ordered must be made in advance of delivery. All products are shown in Australian dollars and are inclusive of GST.
Payment options are Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, bank deposit, Afterpay or Zip. Coops and Cages do not store your credit card number details.
Who is PayPal?
PayPal is one of Australia’s No 1 online payment gateway, PayPal provides Coops and Cages customers a Secure, Accessible, Fast, Easy and reliable environment for making online payments.
By using the Secure Sockets Layer – SSL method of web transmission, Coops and Cages web server ensures we provide the required level of security to protect your personal information, including your credit card number. The server encrypts all data sent and decrypts all data received with a digital ID generated by using Secure Socket Layers (SSL) encryption technology, ensuring that your information remains safe and secure.
PayPal utilises “state of the art” Firewalls, 128 bit Encryption and efraud tools to ensure the security of any personal or transactional in our PayPal payment network. PayPal will never share your personal account.
Nevertheless, you acknowledge that PayPal is an independent entity over which Coops and Cages has no control, and will not hold Coops and Cages liable for any error, or omission or breach of security which occurs in relation to your use of PayPal.
We process orders quickly. Orders are usually dispatched in 1-2 business days.
Once your order is dispatched from our warehouse, the courier will email you your tracking number. Please check your Junk Mail folder as they often end up there.
Coops and Cages will accept change of mind returns for up to 14 days from the date of purchase. Proof of purchase must be provided.
You are required to obtain prior authorisation from us before returning goods. Products must be sent back unused with no damage. A refund minus the original freight charge will be given.
Refunds can only be processed via the same payment method you originally used. If a product is too large to return yourself, we can arrange pick up via a courier and the refund will be less return freight charges also.
A re-stocking fee may be charged at our discretion. If payment was made via Afterpay we may deduct the Afterpay fees from your refund.
In these terms and conditions faulty goods means any goods we supply to you that do not conform to the contract.
Faulty goods does not include any goods that are faulty due to fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use otherwise than in accordance with their intended use, failure to follow the manufacturer’s or our instructions, or any alteration or repair carried out without the prior approval of us or the manufacturer.
You should notify us within 14 days if you discover that any goods are faulty.
Returning Goods – General
When you return goods to us for any reason:
- you must ensure that they are properly and securely packaged and labelled with our address;
- you are always responsible for any damage in transit that is due to incorrect packing or inadequate packaging by you
- you are responsible for any damage or loss in transit where you arrange the transport.
Please note: the customer is responsible for returning the product. We recommend that you use a courier with a trackable shipping method as we are not responsible for damaged or lost return packages and will not issue you a refund if we do not receive the product back in a new, unused, unsoiled condition with all the original packaging and pieces, fit for re-sale.
On receipt the returned item we will inspected and we will issue you a refund for the cost of the item within 7 working days.
We also recommend that you choose a courier that will insure your returned items from loss or damage. We do not refund any delivery charges, this includes the original cost to get the product to you and or the costs involved in returning it.
If you return goods because you think they are faulty goods, we may charge you the cost of all transport and our actual costs and expenses in the event that the goods are not in fact faulty goods.
Exclusions of Liability
Any disclaimers and exclusions of liability in these terms & conditions shall not apply to any damages arising from death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Coops and Cages or any of its employees or agents or fraud.
These disclaimers and exclusions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Law. If any provisions of these disclaimers and exclusions shall be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable then that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
Except as provided in these terms and conditions Coops and Cages will not be liable for any loss or damage that you suffer. For the avoidance of all doubt, Coops and Cages will in no circumstances be liable for any consequential or indirect loss.
Coops and Cages ships products Australia-wide. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship anything internationally.
We CANNOT deliver:
- Outside of Australia
- To PO boxes or post offices
- To Laguna 2325 or Putty 2330
- To any islands without road access. This includes (but is not limited to) King Island 7256 and Russell Island 4184.

Click and Collect
Our Click and Collect service allows customers to make their purchases online and then pick them up directly from our warehouse on the Central Coast, NSW. To use the Click and Collect service, you must order and pay for your items through our website then book in a time for warehouse pick up.
Please note that we do NOT have a showroom. Our warehouse is only available for the collection of pre-purchased items. We do NOT allow pickups without an online purchase.
You can book your pickup Monday – Friday between 9:00am – 1:00pm. You must arrive within your booked time slot. If you are no longer able to pick up within your booked time slot, please call to rearrange a time ASAP. No-shows may be charged a fee.
When you pull into the driveway, please park in the Customer Parking on the left-hand side. Come to the reception front desk first. Do NOT enter the warehouse. You will need to present our staff with your order number and valid photo ID.
Please ensure you have a vehicle large enough to pick up your order. Carton dimensions can be found at the bottom of each product page. If you have a ute or trailer, you will need to bring your own tie-downs.
If you have paid via bank transfer, you cannot pick up your order until payment has cleared. This can take up to 3 business days depending on your bank. If you are unsure your payment will clear before your booked pick up time, please call us to confirm.
